Archives Alive! Brings Missouri History to Life

Join us for Archives Alive!, the Missouri State Archives interactive performance for third and fourth grade students. Time travelers Molly and Walter will tell of the earliest Missourians and European settlers; Missouri’s part in the American Civil War and both World Wars; and many famous Missourians including Mark Twain, George Washington Carver and Virginia Minor.

Tours of the Missouri State Archives are available and may be reserved before or after a scheduled performance. Stations included in each tour are the lobby/original state flag, stacks, reference room and a special presentation of famous Missourians.

Each performance is 45 minutes in length. Performances and tours are free of charge.


The Missouri State Archives, the official repository for state documents of permanent historic value, is a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
